Thick toxic smoke filled the air last Sunday night (9th of August) as a Cambellfield recycling plant experienced a fire. This caused widespread damage triggering a fire damage claim. While the fire was still raging, LMI Claims were there to assist.

Within 24 hours, Des Reaby (Victorian State Claims Manager) was on site, whilst Fire Rescue Victoria contained the extensive recycling blaze. Des is backed up by other members of the experienced Victorian Claims team.

Due to the category of waste the factory recycles, the EPA were on site. They supervised the clean-up to ensure the impact to the environment and was managed as best as possible. We work together with all parties to make sure their requirements are met or exceeded.
We also gained permission from the Fire Rescue Victoria to photograph and capture the site. This ensures nothing is missed as the clean-up continues.
