New CPD Portal Course

Compounding Energy Risk in Residential Homes

Residential risk is changing, but are we changing with it?

Solar, home battery storage and EV charging are becoming part of everyday residential life. Individually, these technologies offer significant benefits. Together, they can create compounding energy risk, where multiple energy systems interact in ways that change both the nature and potential severity of a loss.

In Compounding Energy Risk in Residential Homes, the first module in LMI College’s Emerging Energy Risk series, LMI Group CEO Steve Manning sits down with sustainability and emerging energy risk specialist Douglas Barnett to explore how these technologies are reshaping residential risk, why installation and maintenance matter just as much as the products themselves, and what insurance professionals should be considering as adoption continues to grow.

This CPD module provides practical insights into one of the fastest-changing areas of residential insurance.

Available on our Continued Professional Development (CPD) portal, with true or false quizzes throughout, this course awards a total of 1 CPD point and a certificate upon completion.

Updated CPD Portal Course

Owner Occupied Home & Contents Insurance

For many years, our team have been sharing their product knowledge with you on the CPD portal and whilst we are endeavouring to constantly add new material, we also feel it is important to review and update our existing courses.
Recently, the Owner Occupied Home and Contents Insurance course has undertaken such a review, and you will now see version 4 on your portal.

This course is located under the Insurance Industry Entrants group of courses and is suited to those with some general insurance industry experience and those working in the domestic / retail environment.

If you completed previous versions, there is no need to undertake version 4 (unless you would like a refresher). The core information and learning outcomes remain the same, however there have been a few minor updates made.

Portal Enhancements

You’ll soon notice some small, helpful enhancements to the look and feel of the platform. Nothing big is changing – just a few improvements to make things clearer, more intuitive, and nicer to work in.  Check your emails next week for details of webinar dates and anticipated downtime.
