LMI Group’s Claims Services division, Loss Management International (“LMI”), are providing assistance to a number of mine operators, business owners and some domestic clients who have sustained flood damage over the past few weeks.
A team of claim specialists headed by LMI’s Queensland Manager, Steve Grandidge, is attending to these claims with assistance from claims experts from New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
Properties are being inspected as soon as it is physically possible to do so, as is the collection of data to calculate business interruption claims so that prompt progress payments can be made to ensure much needed cash flow is maintained.
Regrettably, not all home and business owners have cover for flood, despite the fact that flood damage exceeds the cost of damage by fire and is only topped by storm claims.
