A good news story is something we love to bring you at LMI Group. Thankfully today is one of those day! Phoenix Award recipient, Gippsland Power Equipment (Drouin) was destroyed by a suspected electrical fire in late 2019. Whilst the fire itself was devastating, this was very much a case of be prepared for the worst.

A few years earlier, Mark Mason the owner of Gippsland Power Equipment, had a conversation with his broker, James Stevens of Ausure. The conversation centred around Business Interruption insurance. This decision most likely saved the business.

James also had the foresight to get LMI Group involved as soon as possible, allowing us to facilitate and implement mechanisms afforded by the policy to get the business back on their feet.

These efforts from James, along with the tenacity of the Gippsland Power Equipment team have earned them the coveted Phoenix Award. The Phoenix Award recognises those who suffer great loss and emerge victorious against the odds.

We congratulate all those involved in getting Gippsland Power Equipment back to business.
