Some handy browser plugins to help you keep safe online.

Did you know your Internet activity can be monitored by your ISP? What about tracking cookies that can be embedded in your browser? What should you do to protect your privacy online?

Whilst there is no way to be 100% guarantee against these threats, there are ways that we can minimise our exposure while browsing the internet.

To that end, I have found a few tools to help you stay safe online!


HTTPS Everywhere is a browser extension that automatically forces thousands of websites from insecure “HTTP” to secure “HTTPS”.

uBlock Origin is not a typical “adblocker”, but a wide-spectrum content blocker, it’s in a different league uBlock Origin will also block intrusive ads and let you block any section or element of your site. You can block certain services or actions of a website by blocking one or multiple scripts of that particular site.

Adblock Plus is a free extension that allows you to customise your web experience. You can block annoying ads, disable tracking and lots more. It’s available for all major desktop browsers and for your mobile devices.
