Just 3 weeks after a major fire in their kitchen (see LMI news article of 4 April), the world famous Rockpool Restaurant reopened today. LMI Claims were entrusted to mitigate the loss and to prepare their insurance claim. Broker, GSA: Insurer Allianz; and Loss Adjuster Cunningham Lindsay all worked well with LMI and the Insured in a genuine team effort to provide the support and guidance which allowed 70 tradesmen to be coordinated which resulted in the faster than expected reopening.
The photo shows staff and tradesmen working to complete finishing touches to allow the Rockpool to reopen today for lunch with 75 booked and over 150 booked for dinner this evening. The property section of the claim is being handled by head of LMI Claims Steve Smith with the business interruption section is being managed by Revell Weightman, head of LMI Forensics.
